HENDEE--JOHN EDWARD, 15, Son of Leon Clyde Hendee and Mary Ann Steiner Hendee, 108 Eveningside Drive, died Tuesday night in a local hospital from injuries received in a bicycle-automobile accident. Young Hendee was a freshman at the Notre Dame High School, a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and served as an altar boy. Other than his parents, he is survived by five brothers, Leon Clyde Hendee III, Peter George Hendee, William Andrew, Joseph Michael Hendee and Jeffery Thomas Hendee; four sisters, Myra Ann Hendee, Mary Emilee Hendee, Catherine Hendee and Monica Hendee, all of Chattanooga; grandfather , Leon C. Hendee, Signal Mountain, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Steiner, Chattanooga. Funeral services will be held this morning at 9 in theSS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Frances Pack and Father Joseph Breen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Charles R. Byrne Jr., George McIntyre, Mark Makemson, Peter Morrison, Ralph Schulz, Fritz Schulz, David Smith, Robert Zielke. The body is at Turner Funeral Home.
