"Margaret Burrows b. Oct 15, 1677; daughter of John (Robert) Burrows and Hannah Culver (daughter of Edward Culver and Ann Ellis). d. probably ca 1716 as Margaret's husband received her share of the inferitance from her father, who died 1715/16, Old Style Dating being 1715. "Margaret Burrows appears in the records of the First Congregational "Road" Church of Stonington: "'Baptism by Rev. James Noyes - June 6, 1686, Margaret, Samuel and Robert, ye chidren of John Burrows of New London.' "'July 14, 1700 Margaret Dewey, of Lebanon, was took into the Church, being the wife of Nathaniel Dewey.' "'August 2, 1702 Margaret Dewey was dismissed into you Church of Lebanon.' "m. Jan 24, 1700 at Lebanon, Connecticut "Nathaniel Dewey, farmer and twin brother of Ebenezer, b. Feb 20, 1673 at Westfield, Mass, son of Josiah (Thomas) Dewey and his second wife Experience ____. These parents moved from Westfield to Lebanon, Conn. in 1696. d. date unknown." There is more on Nathaniel. "Groton Land Records, Vol. 2, p. 286 indicate that Nathaniel Dewey was assigned his wife's share of her father's estate, three lots of one acre each, at Noank, Conn. Nathaniel sold these lots for six pounds to his brother-in-law, Samuel Burrows accordingto his signature and date of Dec 10, 1716."
