Daily Register Gazette Rockford, Illinois Monday, March 1, 1909 Page 3 Column 8 HIS SUMMONS WAS SUDDEN HORACE JACKSON HENDEE DIES OF HEART DISEASE IN THE LINE CITY. (Special to the Register-Gazette.) Beloit, March 1 - Horace Jackson Hendee, a resident of Beloit since youth, died suddenly at an early hour this morning of heart trouble, aged 67 years. He was a native of Vermont coming here as a boy and with the exception of a short time spent with his daughter at Kenosha, had made this city his home ever since. He was a successful mason contractor by occupation. His daughter, Mrs. Clyde Pierce, survives him. His only son was killed in the Philippines while in the volunteer army. Mr. Hendee was a member of Beloit camp No. 348, M. W. A. |
