John Millington was born about 1645 in England. He was the son of Thomas Millington M.D. (1620-1703). He probably immigrated to America about 1663. John Millington of Topsfield, Massachusetts in 1659, 1663, and 1664 appears among the early settlers of Essex and old Norfolk Counties, Massachusetts. John married Sarah Smith on 14 Apr 1668 in [1][2][3] John was employed as the keeper of the Rivulet Ferry 11 May 1668 and a few months later in February 1669/70 to keep the ferry one more year.[4] At a town meeting on 19 March 1672/3 John Millington was granted 40 acres on High Street in Suffield, Connecticut.[5] John died on 29 Mar 1720 in Suffield, Connecticut. [9] [10] John is buried in Old Center Cemetery, Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut [11] His son John is buried at the Old Stafford Village Cemetery in Stafford, Tolland, Connecticut.
