Blanche L. Hendee, 96, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, in her home. She was born May 24, 1913, in Orfordville, WI, the daughter of Isaac and Bertha Jacobson Lundt. Blanche was a 1931 graduate of Beloit High School. She married George Hendee on June 11, 1938, in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on February 10, 1977. Blanche was employed by Beloit Hospital, Yellow Cab, as a dispatcher, Freeman Shoe Company and Yates American Machine Company, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI, and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church during her stay in Beverly Hills, FL. Blanche was a member of the church choir, Sweet Adelines Chorus and was the past treasurer of ALCW. Survivors include her three children, Mark (Kelly) Hendee of Sturgeon Bay, WI, George (Sandra) Hendee of Beloit, WI, and Constance (Ray) Jackson of Largo, FL; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joan Hilton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Elinor Pool; brothers, Lester Lundt and Donald Lundt; sisters, Violet Kirchner, Agnes Wienke, Marguerite Freiheit and Mildred Clarke. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 749 Bluff Street, Beloit, WI, with the Rev. Jenifer Jelinek officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial will be established in Blanche's name.
