James William Hendee was born on 25 Dec 1914 in Toledo, Ohio. He died on 12 Apr 1945 at the age of 30 in Germany. He was buried in Netherlands American Cemetry, Margraten, Netherlands. "Jennie Hendee would call her parents (Clara & JohnHaribright) frequently. they would speak to each other in German. Jim was serving with Patton in Europe. He was riding in a jeep and when going through a check point they were fired on by a sniper but when they returned Jim told the driver to speed through but was hit and killed." - Janet, wife of Jim |
