Genealogical and Technology: In retirement, Hendee turned to genealogy work. He volunteered on the board of the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society (in Florida) and served for four years as the society’s Director of Technology. In that role, he modernized the society’s computer tools and communications. For example, he secured a grant from the Microsoft Corporation that allowed all society members to install Microsoft Business (Microsoft 365 Business) software on their PCs, greatly enhancing their research and communication capabilities.

Today, Hendee works on developing the Hendee Website and the Hendee Family Tree.  The website is developed on the WordPress platform and includes this Blog.  The Family Tree is developed by the computer application, Heredis 2026 World Edition.  In this Blog it is required for viewers who would like to comment to register on the site.  This can be done easily by going to the “Contact Page” on this website and submitting a request, including your name and email.  Your registration information will be entered, and an email will be sent to you with all of your login credentials.  You may edit your password in your settings.  There is a password required for the Hendee Family Tree.  Again, go to the “Contact Page on this website, and information will be sent to you.  In this case, it is best if you enter a Hendee Name or your relation to a Hendee member.
